I.e. it will happily start the visual interface on a dumb terminal, that is in an Emacs shell buffer. It is not really usable then :-( and has to be killed. That's not so much of a problem if aptitude was started without a command-line action, but becomes really annoying if the user first invokes aptitude in command-line mode and later tries to enter visual mode at a prompt.
