Ah, that's why. Your libfreetype is out of date.
It looks like libfreetype6 has been held back in testing due to the
broken ABI, while the new gnustep-back migrated. So your options are:
- fetch the old gnustep-back from sarge and downgrade
- upgrade libfreetype6 to what's currently in sid
Either of those should work.
