Package: partman-lvm Severity: normal During LVM setup, the following message is displayed:
"After the Logical Volume Manager is configured, no additional changes to the partitions in the disks containing physical volumes are allowed. Please decide if you are satisfied with the current partitioning scheme in these disks before continuing." This message is confusing, especially because the fact that no changes are allowed to the partition table only applies to the installation process. Once the system is running, it *is* for example possible to add new partitions in unallocated space. I propose to change the message to "After the Logical Volume Manager is configured, no additional changes to the partitions in the disks containing physical volumes can be made during the installation process. Please decide if you are satisfied with the current partitioning scheme in these disks before continuing. Additional partitions in the remaining free space can be created once the system is installed." -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
