My guess is that there's some bug in libsmartcols. There has been some
minor fixes in upstream git master. If you can check that it would be
useful. Otherwise upstream is very responsible and would probably
quickly whip up a fix if you provide feedback on the upstream
mailing list. Last, could you please provide an example for this bug
report to make it less vague and even if I probably won't actively
work on it then we'll know in the future if we're able to close
this report or not.
I've attached a screenshot showing the issue. I guess we could also
argue that the French translations are too long.
