Hi,
the fix for this problem, which probably affects all !i386/amd64
archs, is trivial. Just remove the offending
no-omit-leaf-frame-pointer option in the two Makefile.ams it appears
in and the package builds.
The package claims to be architecture any and policy says to support
as many archs as possible. Together with the simplicity of the fix and
the number of archs hurt by it I believe this qualifies as serious
FTBFS problem even without prior debs in the archive.

PS: it might be time to remove the ffmpeg source and Build-Depend on
ffmpeg too
