There is not a lot I can do in the _R_ package hdf5 (with source and binary package r-cran-hdf5 within Debian, see [1] for both) which simply (build-)depends on libhdf5-dev/ Did you mean to file this against libhdf5-dev [2]? Shall we reassign this?
