Detail: I log in using FTP using the same user which exists only in NIS, which works. But listing a directory with files owned by the same user and group causes "OOPS: 421 Service not available". If I manually add the user and group to the local /etc/passwd and /etc/group files, the directory listing succeeds. (It does not matter if I start vsftpd from inetd.conf or run it standalone.) I just retried with vsftpd 3.0.3-2. Same. Reopening. /Teddy
