Hi, now it's crunch time. I'm trying to do the long promised and long awaited QA upload of wicd 1.7.3.

Then I always get the following Traceback: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/wicd/curses/wicd-curses.py", line 1146, in call_update_ui self.update_ui(True) File "/usr/share/wicd/curses/wicd-curses.py", line 97, in wrapper return func(*args, **kargs) File "/usr/share/wicd/curses/wicd-curses.py", line 1159, in update_ui self.handle_keys(input_data) File "/usr/share/wicd/curses/wicd-curses.py", line 1037, in handle_keys self.diag = WirelessSettingsDialog(pos, self.frame) File "/usr/share/wicd/curses/netentry_curses.py", line 503, in __init__ self.set_values() File "/usr/share/wicd/curses/netentry_curses.py", line 543, in set_values wireless.GetWirelessProperty(networkID, 'bitrate') ValueError: None is not in list > this might have been a python-urwid issue, because I remember I actually > broke it when I imported the new > release 1.3.0 and Salvo fixed wicd to work again with 34-newer_urwid patch. I really hoped, you were right. But unfortunately this wasn't the case. I just tried it on an uptodate Debian Sid and still have that issue. Searching the net for this rather generic looking "ValueError: None is not in list" error message I luckily found a patch from another Linux distribution which had the very same issue with wicd 1.7.3: https://github.com/voidlinux/void-packages/issues/954 https://github.com/voidlinux/void-packages/commit/220de599ad3ecba14423289209a3e4e031037edf I'll add this to the Debian package and see if I get further. If so, I'll upload.
