I would like to suggest switching to uClibc-ng releases from http://www.uclibc-ng.org. In the absent of uClibc releases in the last three years, I decided to spin-off the project and do regular releases with a lot of bugfixing and new features. Some projects already using it, f.e. Buildroot (default C library), OpenEmbedded, OpenWrt (only for some architectures), Optware-ng, OpenADK and others.
