Package: alpine Version: 2.20+dfsg1-2 Followup-For: Bug #803956 Dear Maintainer,
This bug is still present in alpine 2.20+dfsg1-2. Fortunately I discovered that adding the Fcc and X-Status headers to the postponed message causes alpine to preserve the Message-ID header. So a workaround is to add the following options to the git format-patch command: git format-patch --add-header="Fcc:" --add-header="X-Status:" --thread ... -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.3.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages alpine depends on: ii libc6 2.21-6 ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.13.2+dfsg-4 ii libkrb5-3 1.13.2+dfsg-4 ii libldap-2.4-2 2.4.42+dfsg-2+b1 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3.1 ii libssl1.0.2 1.0.2e-1 ii libtinfo5 6.0+20151024-2 ii mlock 8:2007f~dfsg-4+b1 Versions of packages alpine recommends: ii alpine-doc 2.20+dfsg1-2 Versions of packages alpine suggests: ii aspell 0.60.7~20110707-3+b1 ii exim4 4.86-7 ii exim4-daemon-light [mail-transport-agent] 4.86-7+b1 -- no debconf information
