OK, I'll give it another try on Monday or Tuesday -- next time I have access to the subject computer.
I figured it was a typescript. Is there some magic command in vim that will turn a typescript of a curses program into readable text? All the screen manipulation escape sequences make it difficult to read. Certainly "cat" will reproduce on the screen what I saw as I was running the program -- minus the pauses for reading stuff as it flies past. But that's not really much better. Just a thought. Obviously you were able to extract useful information from it. How did you do that? Enjoy!
