This bug needs a fix on the ruby-activerecord-session-store side, too, by adding Breaks+Replaces: ruby-devise (<< 3.5.2-3~) otherwise you can still run into it on stretch->sid upgrades. Cloning+reassinging this bug accordingly. Andreas
