Please make debi use apt to install packages if apt is new enough (apt 1.1~exp2 or later) to support directly installing .deb files. This will reduce confusion from people who don't know they have to run apt-get -f install after running dpkg -i foo.deb I would only do it with new enough versions of apt to ease backports. There probably needs to be an option to switch back to dpkg -i too. -- bye, pabs https://wiki.debian.org/PaulWise
