after several updates I retried pgadmin3 today again. The message of the duplicate PNG handler still exists "Debug: Adding duplicate image handler for 'PNG file'" , nevertheless the application works like a charm.
Closing the application creates another debug message "Debug: In file ../src/unix/threadpsx.cpp at line 261: 'pthread_mutex_destroy()' failed with error 0x00000010 (Das Gerät oder die Ressource ist belegt). " but I do not see any failure therefore no more bug.
Can you please close the bug?

It's still the same low-level instruction deep inside the guts of wx.
I'll ping the pgadmin3 developers again, maybe they have an idea.
