Possibly this bug report might end up as wontfix though. I currently see two possibilities: - have the package continue to ship/create the /etc/kbd directory to avoid having dpkg try to remove it (and leave an empty useless directory on users systems!) - invent my own policy-incompliant (RC-buggy) way of dealing with config file removal, which I'm obviously not going to even consider. > > But then the user looks and doesn't find it. Then I hope any worries about the warning message is calmed. :) Thanks for providing the info that the directory was properly removed/cleaned up though. It would have been useful to know the exact content of your /etc/kbd before removal, but I guess it's too late for that now... If you're able to easily reproduce the issue then please provide this info. > > So please delete it first before we see the warning. Will think about it, but as mentioned you might just have to live with the warning. If so I'll tag this wontfix (until possibly someone provides an example on how to handle this in a good way which would ofcourse make me reconsider). Regards, Andreas Henriksson
