Thank you for the reply. Running the command you mentioned works fine.
There is therefore no bug as such, but could I suggest that the
documentation be changed please? I expected the executable file for
viewing the chart to be called bootchart-view, not bootchart for one
thing, but the documentation in /usr/share/doc/bootchart-view/README says:
4. Render the chart by running:
$ java -jar bootchart.jar
I therefore did "locate bootchart.jar" and tried to run that as
instructed, hence I was trying to run from /usr/share/bootchart-view and
ran into problems.
Sorry I missed the dependency of bootchart-view on libcommons-cli-java
in my previous email, but apt-get had done its work correctly and
installed it anyway.
Thanks for your help, the bug can be closed, the package works fine, but
please consider changing the documentation.
