Package: policykit-1 Version: 0.105-14 Severity: important Tags: patch Dear Maintainer,
today I tried to run nm-connection-editor to view a password. The password was for a wireless network, I input it yesterday. I could not edit the connection in the nm-connection-editor: The button to edit is was greyed out. I am using i3wm as WM. I found that debian bug #804044 contains a working solution: <https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=804044#5> I edited the following file (see attachment to the bug report): /var/lib/polkit-1/localauthority/10-vendor.d/org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.pkla After I saved the file, the bug went away. I have no idea why! I tried to find out which package the file does belong to. I was unable to do so using the “apt-file search” command. Therefore I am filing this bug against policykit-1 now. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages policykit-1 depends on: ii dbus 1.10.4-1 ii libc6 2.19-19 ii libglib2.0-0 2.44.1-1.1 ii libpam-systemd 204-8 ii libpam0g 1.1.8-3.1 ii libpolkit-agent-1-0 0.105-11 ii libpolkit-backend-1-0 0.105-11 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-11 policykit-1 recommends no packages. policykit-1 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
