Hi everyone,

I stumbled upon this issue when looking at downstream fork nemo-share
(https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo-extensions/tree/master/nemo-share),
which has a similar situation to this. Except, that code is derived from
Ubuntu, which uses apturl to install Samba. But because apturl doesn't
exist in Debian, nemo-share isn't installable in Debian at all
(https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo-extensions/issues/146).

My question is whether the Samba auto-installation part is necessary in
the first place: why not declare samba and libpam-smbpass as
dependencies in the package itself? The auto-installation part should be
limited to restarting the session, if that is necessary. But if I'm
wrong, a dependency on synaptic should definitely be added to fix the
broken installation here.

Best,
James
