Package: apt-show-versions
Version: 0.22.7
Severity: minor

/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/20apt-show-versions contains:

// When Apt's cache is updated (i.e. apt-cache update)
APT::Update::Post-Invoke-Success {
"test -x /usr/bin/apt-show-versions || exit 0 ; apt-show-versions -i";
};

"apt-cache update" does not exist:

$ apt-cache update
E: Invalid operation update

I suppose that you meant "apt-get update".
