In Geki3 you can pick up three types of powerups during gameplay: White pills restore your health and this works as advertised. Blue and pink pills should powerup your weapons but this almost never works: * There is no visual effect when picking up the blue/pink pill. * The machinegun is firing but the rockets are not shown at all. * The enemies don't seem to be getting destroyed faster, so this is not only an cosmetic bug.
