We should try to get Debian to change its default to always scan for wifi networks with a random MAC address, like Apple iOS is doing these days. I tried to figure out if Network Manager now can do random MAC changes during scanning on its own, and could not find any traces of it in my searches. But I came across this recipe for Network Manager with upstart and Ubuntu, which might give us an idea how to do it: <URL: https://we.riseup.net/riseuphelp+en/auto-random-macs#setup-automatic-random-mac-address-creation-in-ubu >. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen
