Are you using a GXPxxx IBM video board? in this case i suggest you to do the installation via serial console since Linux does not support that serie of video boards. This is the way i had to install debian on my 7043/140, but maybe a Matrox Mystique board would be ok if the linux kernel boots and fb support is activated. ciao Attilio
