I'm re-assigning this to the kernel as a first approximation, as that's where the file quoted comes from.

Reporteed every 5 mins(approximatly) in syslog related to:
[i915]] *ERROR* mismatch in ips_enabled (expected 1, found 0)

No message in syslog
