Hi! I've became a DD today. Thus, as promised, I've just uploaded endless-sky to Debian. It will spend some times in the "NEW" purgatory where the ftpmasters review it.
There were two issues with what you uploaded to mentors.debian.net: * the package was versioned 0.8.8-2 with no 0.8.8-1 * the copyright file didn't obey the special-casing for "public-domain" The latter is partially my fault, I did not know the machine-readable copyright format handles public-domain differently. According to https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/ : # When the License field in a paragraph has the short name public-domain, # the remaining lines of the field must explain exactly what exemption the # corresponding files for that paragraph have from default copyright # restrictions. and indeed, unlike other licenses which must have exactly one definition, public-domain needs further data in its every use. I took the liberty to change both of these myself. If for some reason I did something wrong (like, if you insist on 0.8.8-2 due to having 0.8.8-1 in some other repository), please say so, there's plenty of time to cancel/amend the upload before it clears NEW. I'm still learning myself... I attached the debdiff, please apply it to your private copy of the packaging so it's included in your next upload.
