Yes. Looks like you may have the same bug. And I haven't even looked

In both these bug reports, the version is the older 1.66 one. Would it
be possible for you to test with the latest from testing/unstable ?

It has 1 fix that is related to the ethernet module, and it also has a
large number of fixes related to systemd integration. 

I don't see laptop-mode-tools pulling in any new dependency, so it
should be just a simple dpkg -i.


That said, does your kernel throw any odd driver message ?
I have 2 laptops, 1 without an ethernet device, and the other one has a
broken one. So I'm out of luck to try it locally here.
