Yes, it's a known limitation in yaird, one that isn't likely to be fixed any time soon given that yaird depends heavily on sysfs on the host system. So why do the official 2.6.15 packages in unstable still depend on yaird | initramfs-tools, instead of initramfs-tools | yaird?
