Again, I'm afraid I don't remember what I've seen prior to wheezy. The system is running 24x7 but I'll try to boot a pre-wheezy image (or something with BLK_DEV_IDE_PMAC enabled) the next time this machine is rebooted and see if the actual disk or /dev/rootfs is displayed.
