Hi all,

Package: aptitude
Version: 0.2.14.1-2
Severity: wishlist

It was great, if the package detail view would display, where from a
package will be downloaded - like the entry in apt-sources that got it
on the list.

If I add %t I can see whether the package is coming from stable, testing
or unstable. But still I cannot see the website where the package is
coming from.

Now I found the exact name what I wanted to be displayed: The Origin of
the package. I can search for it using ~O, but it cannot be displayed.
I would suggest to use %O to display it.

Thanks, J?rg

Hello Aptitude developers,

I've come across the problem described in bug 248561 (
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=248561) and I would like
to propose the attached changes which add the %O format field to display
the Origin of a package.

This functionality is specifically helpful when using multiple different
3rd party repositories with packages for the same target suite/codename.
For users of the Open Build Service this would dramatically improve the
usability of the presented information.

I applied this change now.

Not Jan's patch though (but thank's for the that anyway!), because it
was suboptimal in a couple of places, in part due to other changes, had
no doc, didn't have into account setting up the initial widths, and
because I just implemented it as part of other changes.

Will be present in the next release, hopefully soon, so marking as
+pending.

Cheers.
