Package: squid
Version: 2.5.8-1
Severity: wishlist

in /etc/init.d/squid SQUID_ARGS="-D -sYC" hardcode -D.
Could it be moved to /etc/default .

My understanding of it is:
-D disable nameserver autodetection (auto use squid internal resolver ?)
though it seems internal resolver is build and activated by default

-D seems a requirement as there are problems with autodetection
on some setups, though it would ease upgrade on setup where it
works properly if it was not in the init script.

As a side point , would you consider shipping a new default
squid.conf where ICP port is disabled ?
(icp_port 0)
The default opens ports unused where there are no more more than
 one squid proxy.

Thank you
Alban
