Package: linssid
Version: 2.7-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Currently, linssid depends on gksu. However, kdesudo does the the job just
as well, and presumably lxqt-sudo also does. So please make linssid depend
on gksu *or* kdesudo *or* lxqt-sudo. As linssid is a QT application, it also
seems more logical to actually prefer kdesudo or lxqt-sudo over gksu.

In addition, if the user has some other way or application to obtain the
required root
privileges, there is no need for gksu or kdesudo at all. It is my impression
that linssid
does not actually need either to function. They don't even enhance the
functionality of
linssid. Rather: they *can* be used by a regular user to start linssid, as it
needs root
privileges to start.

So, IMHO, the sudo frontend should not be a dependency, but a recommendation
instead.

Kind regards,

Rogier.
