Upstream development is continuing, collated by David Griffith <URL:https://github.com/DavidGriffith/inform6unix/>. The latest version released as a tarball is “6.33.1-b2”, online at <URL:http://ifarchive.org/if-archive/infocom/compilers/inform6/source/>. David has also obtained explicit grant of license for the whole code base under terms of the Artistic License 2.0, so this latest version is free software at last.
