Package: maint-guide-ja Version: 1.2.6 Severity: minor The spectacular japanese calligraphs that can be also seen on page http://packages.debian.org/stable/doc/maint-guide-ja somehow became part of my /var/lib/dpkg/available file and this blows up aptitude (0.2.15.9-2) running in a plain xterm (4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1). However xterm in UTF-8 mode resists this "malformed" text.
