Package: apt-listbugs Version: 0.1.17 Severity: wishlist With APT from experimental having a new policy engine that actually works for negative pin values, it seems like a better idea to allow pinning the broken version to -1.
This would mean that once a new version is available, apt-listbugs would automatically check if that version fixed the issue, and upgrades to the package would not be blocked. This won't work for APT < 1.1, so this should be an optional configuration option. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (900, 'unstable'), (100, 'experimental'), (1, 'buildd-experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages apt-listbugs depends on: ii apt 1.1~exp14 ii ruby 1:2.1.5.1 ii ruby-debian 0.3.9+b2 ii ruby-gettext 3.1.7-1 ii ruby-soap4r 2.0.5-3 ii ruby-unicode 0.4.4-2+b4 ii ruby-xmlparser 0.7.3-1+b1 ii ruby2.1 [ruby-interpreter] 2.1.5-4 Versions of packages apt-listbugs recommends: ii ruby-httpclient 2.3.3-3.1 Versions of packages apt-listbugs suggests: ii debianutils 4.5.1 ii google-chrome-stable [www-browser] 46.0.2490.80-1 ii links2 [www-browser] 2.12-1 ii lynx-cur [www-browser] 2.8.9dev6-4 ii netsurf [www-browser] 3.2+dfsg-2.2 ii netsurf-gtk [www-browser] 3.2+dfsg-2.2 ii reportbug 6.6.5 ii w3m [www-browser] 0.5.3-25 -- no debconf information -- Julian Andres Klode - Debian Developer, Ubuntu Member See http://wiki.debian.org/JulianAndresKlode and http://jak-linux.org/.
