I have been using Michael's cryptsetup-luks and Bastian's libpam- mount package for quite some while now. It is working nicely so far. Installation only forced me to install libdevmapper1.01 by hand. So, this should be another vote for integrating Michael's patch into the cryptsetup Debian package.
