My response must have got lost. It could detect that it couldn't reach the mysql server and then say, "I can't reach the mysql server. I will wait while you please check the connection / start the server, and hit RET when ready. Or A to Abort."
I see. That is what Retry is for. So it should say at the top "I can't reach the mysql server. Please start / connect the server, and hit Retry. Or, ..." If that grabbed my eyes at the top, things would have been better.
