Package: mp4v2-utils Version: 2.0.0~dfsg0-3 Severity: normal Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer, Due to a misplaced "break;" statement, when you use the -picture flag to mp4tags to specify the path to a cover art file, it also sets the album artist field (eg: as if using the -albumartist flag) to the path of the file given to the -picture flag. This bug has actually been previously reported: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=709127 but the applied fix was wrong; rather than applying the supplied patch as-is, the "break" was put inside the "else" clause just above, so the bug persists in any case where the cover art is successfully set (and that "else" clause is not triggered). -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/32 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages mp4v2-utils depends on: ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u1 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.2-10 ii libmp4v2-2 2.0.0~dfsg0-3 ii libstdc++6 4.9.2-10 mp4v2-utils recommends no packages. mp4v2-utils suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
