There seems to be two separate issues here: * AC backlight settings is mistakenly applied when machine is booted/started using DC power. This is reported upstream as <https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-power-manager/issues/150>. There is a proposed patch too. * DC backlight settings is not refreshed when AC backlight slider is changed, even the DC backlight is supposed to follow configured AC backlight. This is reported upstream as <https://github.com/mate-desktop/mate-power-manager/issues/166>. Again, there is a proposed patch too. Hope this helps. Cheers, Nutchanon P.S.
