You will also need to adopt freecdb upstream, since there's no upstream maintainer either. Thanks for volunteering! I'm always pleased to see new life breathed into a dormant project.
Incidentally, until freecdb makes it back into 'testing', packages build-depending on it really shouldn't be in 'testing' either.
