Package: nsd
Version: 4.1.0-3
Severity: normal

Hi!

failing `service nsd start` or similar unfortunately does not provide
any user feedback due to use of type=simple in the systemd
service. Switching to type=forking and omitting the -d at least would
have catched the

[2015-10-31 22:13:13.741] nsd[5900]: error: can't bind udp socket: Cannot
assign requested address
[2015-10-31 22:13:13.743] nsd[5900]: error: server initialization failed, nsd

here and provided proper feedback. Of course, implementing type=notify
would also be fine

Thanks
