It looks like the issue has been fixed upstream as can be seen in https://github.com/Tetralet/LilyTerm/issues/85 or more precisely https://github.com/Tetralet/LilyTerm/commit/8b45566073ee6c44b38 Could you please have a look at making these changes reach the Debian packaged version?
