Package: gvfs-fuse Version: 1.26.1.1-1 Severity: normal I tried to copy files from my Android phone using the gvfs fuse mount created for it. However, while I could copy directories, I always got "Operation not supported" when trying to copy files. If file read and copy operations are going to fail, then the mount is nearly useless and shouldn't be exposed via FUSE.
Example output: cp: no se puede abrir «/run/user/1000/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A004%2C008%5D/Phone/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.maps/cache/cache_vts_GMM.m» para lectura: Operation not supported cp: no se puede abrir «/run/user/1000/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A004%2C008%5D/Phone/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.maps/cache/cache_vts_tran_base_GMM.m» para lectura: Operation not supported cp: no se puede abrir «/run/user/1000/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A004%2C008%5D/Phone/Android/data/com.google.android.apps.maps/cache/cache_its.m» para lectura: Operation not supported -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.2.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gvfs-fuse depends on: ii fuse 2.9.4-1 ii gvfs 1.26.1.1-1 ii libc6 2.19-22 ii libfuse2 2.9.4-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.46.1-1 gvfs-fuse recommends no packages. gvfs-fuse suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- brian m. carlson / brian with sandals: Houston, Texas, US +1 832 623 2791 | https://www.crustytoothpaste.net/~bmc | My opinion only OpenPGP: RSA v4 4096b: 88AC E9B2 9196 305B A994 7552 F1BA 225C 0223 B187
