btw, that's what debconf would offer as devices:
[*] /dev/sda (1000204 MB; TOSHIBA_DT01ACA100)
[*] /dev/sdb (1000204 MB; TOSHIBA_DT01ACA100)
[ ] (??? MB; ???)

So maybe that "(??? MB; ???)" is a problem?

Also, when I select just sda, installation works.
But when I select just sdb, I get the error:
│ GRUB failed to install to the following devices:
       │
│
       │
│ /dev/disk/by-id/ata-TOSHIBA_DT01ACA100_Z41YEHMFS,
       │
│
       │
│ Do you want to continue anyway? If you do, your computer may not start up
properly. │
│
       │
│ Writing GRUB to boot device failed - continue?
       │

But in either case, there's:
Use of uninitialized value in string eq at
/usr/share/perl5/Debconf/Element/Multiselect.pm line 38, <GEN17> line 22.

Cheers,
Chris.
