Package: scsitools Version: 0.8-2 Severity: important scsi-spin uses the deprecated SCSI_IOCTL_* scheme that isn't supported by compat_ioctl, thus rendering this tool useless when running a 64bit kernel. It needs to be converted to SG_IO.
sg3-utils' "sg_start" can be used as a replacement tho (and probably contains hints to convert scsi-spin).
