Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Upgraded package from 1:4.2.8p3+dfsg-1 to 1:4.2.8p4+dfsg-1 on
a couple of machines.  Now the daemon won't start. Syslog shows this:

Kern.log shows this:

And all interactive terminals show the full "Out of memory [<pid>]" message.
