Yes. This warning is kinda old and debatable (even though I seem to remember that I was the one promoting it in the past). Its main rationale was to be sure that users see the whole template when using a 80x25 terminal. When the text is longer, users have to scroll the template in the default interface for debconf and that may be disturbing. So, in general, it's advised to avoid too long texts, which is not always possible. So, yes, I'd recommend ignoring the warning, it's not really a big deal.
