Thanks for the patch. The new version of PHP now complains loudly when you try to do things which should have been legal (in my opinion), but are actually not implemented as you would expect until PHP5. Anyway, I have made this change, and many other similar changes elsewhere, in order to get bamboo to play nice. I should be able to make a new release soon.
