Package: sane-utils
Version: 1.0.24-8
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I upgraded today from Wheezy to Jessie. I noticed after that that my scanner
stalls for 10 seconds (measured) before lauching the scan, whereas it was
1 second before the upgrade. (Canon CanoScan 9000F Mark II)
I routinely scan dozens of pages so the delay really bites.
It's now faster for me to launch Windows in a VirtualBox and scan from
there...
My test line is:
        scanimage --mode Gray --resolution 150 > a.pnm

If there is a workaround, I'd love to try it!

Best regards,
Sébastien.
