Control: tags -1 + pending For the record, APT::Get::Purge is for apt-get specifically, the option for aptitude is aptitude::Purge-Unused. I think that there is nothing similar for apt which is not for APT::Get.
In aptitude, the corresponding variable was not honoured in some cases, I am addressing those by checking in the central point when removing packages, hopefully it will catch all cases. It would have been useful to see exactly what was the command of aptitude, or the log, to know for certain; but in any case now all cases should be handled honouring that variable.
