Hi, the zpaq Debian package is badly outdated. Updating to the latest available version would probably fix this bug:
zpaq v7.05, Apr. 17, 2015. Fixed -method 111. libzpaq.cpp v7.05 fixes a valgrind warning (LZ77 read past end of input). Recent versions also have many interesting features. -- Laurent.
