Package: make Version: 4.0-8.2 Severity: normal Dear maintainer,
It seems that make is unable to match a prerequisite foo//bar.txt with a rule target foo/bar.txt and conversely. These double-slashes are common occurrence when concatenating paths portions. This is especially annoying when using make to generate directories. It is unable to match 'dirname' with 'dirname/'. In addition to that the $(wildcard) function won't generate names with a trailing slash while the $(dir) function will.
